The real story of the man who claims to have come from the nation, "Taured" (another dimension of time) , in 1954?
The Taured mystery is one that has puzzled us for generations.
For those of you who are not familiar with the story, here is a brief excerpt of what allegedly happened.
The original story
It’s July 1954; a hot day. A man arrives at Tokyo airport in Japan. He’s of Caucasian appearance and conventional-looking.
But the officials are suspicious. On checking his passport, they see that he hails from a country called Taured. The passport looked genuine, except for the fact that there is no such country as Taured. The man is interrogated, and asked to point out where his country supposedly exists on a map.
He immediately points his finger towards the Principality of Andorra, but becomes angry and confused. He’s never heard of Andorra, and can’t understand why his homeland of Taured isn’t there.
The custom officials decide to solve the mystery while placing him in a hotel room guarded by officials. Later, when the hotel room was opened, the man had mysteriously disappeared and was never found again.
There are two possible solutions for the mystery.
1. The mysterious man came from a parallel dimension/ from the future.
2. The whole story was made up.
Although the first argument seems enticing, the second argument seems more likely. The very first articles about the Taured mystery were published in Colin Wilson’s book, “ The directory of possibilities”. The story in the book describes that the event occurred in Tokyo in the year 1954. Notice the year 1954.
The internet was invented only in 1983 , which is 29 years after the incident occurred. Had Internet been there at the time, we would have had several write-ups and articles about the incident. Therefore, it seems fairly obvious to ascertain that this mystery was most probably a made-up story.
16 years later, Tom Sleman published a book “Strange but true: Mysterious and bizarre people” about the incident. Although, this book was published 16 years after the first book, no extra information has been written about the incident. This further raises suspicion that the mystery was indeed the author’s imagination and not a fact.
Conclusion: It seems likely that the Taured mystery was one that was created by Colin Wilson just for entertainment. Had the man really come from another dimension or through time travel, there would have been much more stories/articles about it. Therefore, I would go for argument 2.

welcome to the future of payments!
Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of credit cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Q's can be worth a lot.
Initiative Q is creating a modern payment network that will aggregate the best ideas, innovations, and technologies developed in recent years. The Q payment network will allow safe, fast, and low-cost transactions, using a global currency.
Initiative Q is the brainchild of Saar Wilf, a serial entrepreneur who started his first payments start-up in 1997, and later founded Fraud Sciences, which redefined the payment security space and was acquired by PayPal in 2008.
Wilf has compiled a team of experts from a variety of disciplines, including mathematics, economics, and other social sciences. The economic and monetary models were developed with Economist Lawrence White, a professor of monetary theory and policy at George Mason University. White has published numerous articles and books on monetary theory and banking, including The Theory of Monetary Institutions, Free Banking in Britain, and The Clash of Economic Ideas.
